Inter Milan produced a stunning comeback to beat newly promoted Pisa 6-2 at a rain-soaked San Siro on Friday, moving six points clear at the top of the Serie A table.

Inter fans were left stunned early on as Stefano Moreo struck twice for Pisa, including a sensational chip over goalkeeper Yann Sommer from near the halfway line. The visitors doubled their advantage midway through the first half, raising hopes of a shock result.
However, Piotr Zielinski’s penalty in the 39th minute sparked Inter’s revival. The hosts then turned the match on its head before half-time as Lautaro Martinez and Pio Esposito both powered in headers to give Inter a 3-2 lead at the break.
Inter dominated the closing stages, with Federico Dimarco, Ange-Yoan Bonny and Henrikh Mkhitaryan all finding the net in the final 10 minutes to complete an emphatic victory. The win marked Inter’s ninth triumph in a 10-match unbeaten run in the league.
Dimarco, who came on shortly before Zielinski’s penalty, said the key was scoring before the interval. “The idea was to get one goal before half-time, and then it would have been a long second half for Pisa,” he said. “We reacted well and turned it around.”
The result increases pressure on title rivals AC Milan and Napoli, both of whom face difficult away fixtures this weekend. Milan travel to face fourth-placed Roma, while Napoli, nine points behind Inter, visit Turin after a Champions League draw that left their European hopes hanging in the balance.
Pisa remain bottom of Serie A, having picked up just four points from their last 10 matches. Despite a dream start in their first appearance at the San Siro since 1990, Alberto Gilardino’s side collapsed after Inter’s equaliser and suffered a heavy defeat.
