Security sources said that attacks were attempted at 12 different locations, but timely and effective action by police, Frontier Corps (FC), and other security agencies prevented major casualties. According to official reports, dozens of militants were eliminated in districts including Panjgur, Harnai, Quetta, Gwadar, and surrounding regions, while several operations remain ongoing.
In the past two days alone, more than 100 militants have reportedly been neutralised across the province. Ten police officers and security personnel were martyred while confronting the attackers, while several civilians, including women and children, were also killed in separate incidents in Gwadar.
Authorities stated that emergency measures were imposed in government hospitals across Balochistan, particularly in Quetta, to ensure immediate medical treatment for the injured. Mobile data services were temporarily suspended in sensitive areas as part of security measures.
Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti said the attacks would not weaken the state’s resolve and reaffirmed that operations would continue until terrorism is completely eliminated. Federal ministers and senior leadership also praised the bravery of security forces and expressed solidarity with the families of the martyrs.
President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif strongly condemned the attacks and commended the security agencies for foiling coordinated militant operations, reaffirming the government’s commitment to restoring peace and stability in Balochistan.
Security officials confirmed that further intelligence-based operations, aerial surveillance, and search operations are underway across the province to dismantle remaining militant networks and prevent future attacks.
