In a recent interview, the 54-year-old actress said that people around her appear more concerned about her age than she is herself. She remarked that others frequently try to “remind” her of her age, even though ageing is a natural and gradual process.
Tabu also highlighted the pressure on women in the film industry to remain diplomatic in professional interactions. She revealed that actresses are often advised to avoid giving direct reasons when rejecting film offers and instead use scheduling conflicts as an excuse.
However, the veteran star said she prefers honesty and openly declines projects if she does not connect with the story.
Speaking about her career, Tabu shared that her recent film Bhoot Bangla has already been released, while she is currently preparing for upcoming projects, including the shooting of King100 starring Naga Chaitanya Akkineni.
The actress added that many of her projects reflect the struggles faced by women in Bollywood and the strict standards imposed on actresses in the entertainment industry.
