According to a notification issued by the Petroleum Division, the prices of both petrol and high-speed diesel (HSD) have been reduced by Rs5 per litre.
Following the revision, the price of petrol has been set at Rs409.78 per litre, while the new price of high-speed diesel stands at Rs409.58 per litre.
The notification stated that the revised fuel prices came into effect from midnight.
The reduction is expected to impact transportation and fuel-related costs across various sectors, though its broader effect on inflation and consumer spending remains to be seen.
