The market, operational since April 5, is witnessing a surge in activity as traders and buyers flock to the site. Located along the Northern Bypass, the mandi is receiving a continuous stream of livestock transported via heavy trailers arriving at designated marshalling areas.
Traders have begun shifting animals into allocated blocks after securing plots. Among them is Ghulam Nabi from Tando Adam, who has brought premium breeds including Gulabi, Kamori, Sindhi, and Tabra goats. He expressed confidence in achieving strong prices due to the quality of his stock.
Administrator Tariq Tanoli said extensive arrangements have been made to facilitate traders and visitors. “We are ensuring uninterrupted 24-hour water supply, with large animals receiving 30 litres and small animals eight litres daily, free of cost,” he stated.
Authorities have also set up a 200-acre secure parking facility with street lighting, alongside a modern food street offering a variety of meals for visitors. Enhanced security measures and improved infrastructure have further boosted confidence among buyers and traders.
Officials expect livestock arrivals and public turnout to increase significantly in the coming days as Eid approaches.
