KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, accompanied by provincial ministers, attended an Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) gathering at Faizan-e-Madina in Karachi on Wednesday. Religious Affairs Minister Riyaz Hussain Shah Shirazi, Labour Minister Saeed Ghani and Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab accompanied the chief minister during the visit. Murad Ali Shah visited Faizan-e-Madina at the invitation of Muhammad Yaqoob Attari, head of the Dawat-e-Islami Sindh coordination committee. He also met representatives of Dawat-e-Islami and discussed arrangements for the Eid Milad-un-Nabi celebrations. Addressing the gathering, the chief minister said celebrating the arrival of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was a great blessing and honour for Muslims. He said Milad gatherings provided an opportunity to reflect on the life and teachings of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and encouraged people to follow his Seerat. Murad Ali Shah said Muslims could regain their lost glory by following the exemplary life and teachings of the Holy Prophet (PBUH). He stressed that unity among Muslims was essential for success in both this world and the hereafter, urging people to promote harmony, brotherhood and mutual understanding.
