According to Iran’s state-run Mehr News Agency, Iranian military officials said the country had made no request to the United States to suspend any planned actions. They described the claim as “a new lie” and rejected the allegation.

The officials said Iran’s armed forces remain fully prepared to respond to any possible threat. They added that defensive units are on high alert and would deliver a strong response to any act of aggression.

Iranian authorities also rejected reports suggesting plans to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, maintaining that the country would continue to protect its security interests.

The statement comes as tensions between Washington and Tehran remain high, with officials from both sides exchanging strong criticism.

Meanwhile, political analysts warned that conflicting statements from the two countries could increase regional uncertainty. They said the international community continues to push for diplomatic efforts to prevent further escalation.
