The briefing follows an intelligence-based operation in Khuzdar, Balochistan, where security forces killed four suspected terrorists on Thursday.
According to the ISPR, troops launched the operation after receiving intelligence about militants linked to what the military described as the Indian proxy group “Fitna al Hindustan.”
During the operation, security forces intercepted two explosives-laden vehicles before they could be used in an attack. The troops then destroyed both Vehicle-Borne Improvised Explosive Devices (VBIEDs) and killed the four militants operating them.
Meanwhile, security forces have continued sanitisation operations in the area to locate any remaining suspects.
Furthermore, the ISPR said Pakistan’s security forces and law enforcement agencies will continue nationwide operations under Operation Azm-e-Istehkam, which the Federal Apex Committee approved under the National Action Plan.
The military also reaffirmed its commitment to eliminating what it described as foreign-sponsored terrorism and maintaining peace and stability across the country.
