Pakistan Navy strengthened its defence engagement with Belarus as Chief of the General Staff and First Deputy Defence Minister of Belarus, Major General Pavel Muraveiko, met Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf at Naval Headquarters in Islamabad. The high-level Belarusian delegation visited Naval Headquarters on Friday, where Admiral Naveed Ashraf received the delegation during an official ceremony before the two sides held formal talks. He said Islamabad remains committed to building a long-term and multidimensional partnership with Minsk across the defence sector. Major General Pavel Muraveiko praised the Pakistan Navy’s role in promoting regional maritime security. He acknowledged the navy’s continued efforts to support stability and safeguard maritime interests in the region. Both sides agreed to broaden the scope of the existing defence relationship. They also expressed their commitment to strengthening cooperation through closer military engagement and future collaborative initiatives. The meeting reflected the growing defence ties between Pakistan and Belarus as both countries continue to expand cooperation in areas of shared strategic interest.
