On January 11, 2025, security forces conducted two intelligence-based operations in North Waziristan District, successfully neutralizing nine Khwarij militants and apprehending two others.

The first operation, carried out in the general area of Dosalli, was based on reports of Khwarij presence. During the engagement, six militants were killed, and two others were captured.
The second operation took place in the general area of Esham, where after an intense exchange of fire, three militants were neutralized, and two others sustained injuries.
Recovered from the militants were weapons and ammunition. The eliminated Khwarij had been actively involved in numerous terrorist activities, including attacks on security forces and targeted killings of innocent civilians.
Sanitization operations are ongoing to ensure the complete elimination of any remaining threats in the area. The security forces remain resolute in their mission to eradicate terrorism and ensure peace and stability in Pakistan.
