The victory also marked Didier Deschamps’ last home game as France head coach. He now turns his focus to the upcoming World Cup campaign.
Olise opened the scoring just before half-time. He reacted quickly after a deflected effort from Ousmane Dembele and finished from close range.
France doubled their lead four minutes into the second half. Olise struck a powerful shot from the edge of the box and found the top corner.
Northern Ireland responded well despite fielding a young squad. The visitors reduced the deficit in the 64th minute through Patrick Kelly.
Kelly scored from close range after Shea Charles made a strong run into the penalty area. The goal briefly gave Northern Ireland hope.
However, Olise sealed the victory 15 minutes from time. He curled a superb effort from 20 yards into the net to complete his hat-trick.
Kylian Mbappe also threatened to score. A goal that would have matched Olivier Giroud’s France scoring record was ruled out for offside.
The France captain created several chances during the match. However, he could not add to his international goal tally.
Northern Ireland also had a goal disallowed. Officials ruled out Jamie Donley’s effort because of a foul in the build-up.
France will now begin their World Cup campaign with confidence. They face Senegal, Iraq and Norway in the group stage.
