Iran condemns reported vessel attack Separately, Iran’s Foreign Ministry condemned what it described as a Ukrainian attack on an Iranian commercial vessel in the Caspian Sea. Iranian officials said the explosion killed one sailor and injured another. Furthermore, Tehran accused Ukraine of widening the Russia-Ukraine conflict beyond its existing battlefield. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Ukrainian forces struck a Russian warship and other vessels transporting Iran-linked military cargo in the Caspian Sea. Ukrainian authorities have not released further operational details. Kuwait rejects military involvement At the same time, Kuwait denied reports alleging it joined recent U.S. military operations against Iran. Ambassador Sheikha Al-Zain Al-Sabah described the claims as “utterly and completely baseless” and said Kuwait neither participated in military action nor allowed its territory, airspace or territorial waters to be used for offensive operations.
