ISLAMABAD: PTI founder remains at the centre of a growing demand for urgent medical treatment after the Supreme Court ordered his transfer to Shifa International Hospital. The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s political and core committees welcomed the court’s directive during a joint meeting and called on authorities to implement it without unnecessary delay or obstruction. The party said its founder should receive treatment under the supervision of his personal physicians, with all necessary medical facilities made available to him. PTI leadership described his health as a humanitarian and national concern rather than a political issue. The party said every prisoner has a basic right to appropriate medical care and that treatment should not face unnecessary restrictions. The committees urged authorities to follow the Supreme Court’s directions fully and remove any administrative hurdles that could delay or interfere with the treatment process. The meeting also called for necessary medical facilities and unrestricted access to medical examinations for Bushra Bibi. PTI said she should receive adequate healthcare and essential facilities without unnecessary restrictions.
