Islamabad: The Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) Cybercrime Wing has launched a probe into the circulation of AI-generated images and videos involving Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz and the President of the UAE.
Sources within the FIA confirmed that 10 social media accounts have been identified as being linked to the dissemination of these fabricated visuals. Officials stated that the materials were allegedly created and shared to spread negative propaganda.
The investigation was initiated after a source report flagged the issue. Currently, a detailed analysis of the identified accounts is in progress to determine the origins and intent behind the content.
The FIA has emphasized its commitment to tackling cybercrimes, especially those involving the misuse of advanced technologies like AI for creating and spreading false information.
