In a statement posted on his Truth Social platform, President Trump expressed gratitude to Pakistan, saying, “Thank you Pakistan, thank you to its Prime Minister and Field Marshal both great personalities,” crediting Islamabad’s diplomatic engagement in supporting regional stability.
The US President also extended appreciation to Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Qatar, acknowledging their “great courage and support” in facilitating ongoing diplomatic efforts aimed at easing regional tensions and promoting maritime security in the Gulf region.
In a separate post, Trump welcomed Iran’s announcement declaring the Strait of Hormuz fully open for commercial maritime traffic. He described the move as a positive development for global trade and energy security, stating simply, “Thank you Iran.”
Earlier, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi confirmed that the Strait of Hormuz had been reopened for all commercial vessels for the remaining duration of the ceasefire in Lebanon, following coordinated regional diplomatic efforts.
The reopening of the vital waterway is being seen as a significant de-escalation step after weeks of heightened tensions that had disrupted global energy markets and raised concerns over international shipping routes.
Analysts say the development could help stabilize oil flows and reduce pressure on global supply chains, while also signaling progress in broader diplomatic negotiations involving regional and international stakeholders.
