The armies of Pakistan and Egypt successfully concluded the joint counterterrorism exercise Thunder-II at Cherat, Pakistan, marking another milestone in bilateral military cooperation.

The two-week exercise was designed to enhance interoperability between the forces by refining drills, procedures, and techniques related to counterterrorism operations through integrated training.
Elite combat teams from the Special Services Group (SSG) and Egyptian Special Forces actively participated, demonstrating high levels of professionalism and operational capability throughout the exercise.
The closing ceremony was attended by the General Officer Commanding of the SSG as Chief Guest, alongside Mohamed Saad Abdel Razik, Commander of Egyptian Paratroopers, and Egypt’s Defence Attaché.
The exercise not only strengthened tactical coordination but also reinforced the longstanding and historic military-to-military ties between the two friendly nations, reflecting their shared commitment to regional security and counterterrorism efforts.
