Iran’s Foreign Ministry has warned regional countries against allowing the United States or Israel to use their territory for operations against Iran. The ministry said it would treat any such support as a hostile act.
Pakistan Army MI-17 Helicopter Crashes Near Muzaffarabad
In a statement posted on X, the ministry strongly condemned recent US actions. It described the attacks as a violation of the United Nations Charter and international law.
Iran said the recent helicopter crash had served as a pretext for military action against the country. It added that its armed forces acted within their right to self-defence in response to those attacks.
“We call on neighbouring countries to prevent any use of their territories and facilities against Iran,” the statement said.
The ministry stressed that countries in the region, particularly those along the southern coast of the Persian Gulf, have a legal and moral responsibility to stop the US and Israel from using their territory to plan, support, or carry out operations against Iran.
Furthermore, Iranian officials warned that Tehran would exercise its right to self-defence if any country allowed its territory or facilities to support hostile actions. They said Iran could target the origin of attacks as well as military and logistical facilities used against the country.
In addition, the ministry urged the United Nations to hold the United States accountable for what it described as military aggression. It also reiterated that Iran would respond to any threat against its national security.
Araghchi Calls on US to Leave the Region
Earlier, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi called on the United States to leave the region.
In a post on X, Araghchi said Washington had chosen to challenge Iran despite what he described as setbacks on the battlefield.
“The United States has decided to challenge our determination despite its setbacks,” he wrote.
Moreover, Araghchi said Iran’s armed forces would not leave any attack or threat unanswered. He also warned that Tehran would respond firmly to any future military action.
The latest statements highlight rising tensions in the region as diplomatic efforts continue to address ongoing security concerns.
