China Export Controls: China announced on Friday that it had placed 14 European entities on its export control list in retaliation for the European Union’s latest sanctions against Chinese companies linked to Russia. These products have both civilian and military applications. In addition, foreign companies may not supply the listed entities with dual-use products manufactured in China. European firms affected The restrictions apply to several European companies. They include Czech vehicle manufacturer Tatra Trucks, Italian electric motor producer Lafert SpA, German manufacturer Sindlhauser Materials GmbH, and French drone maker Cavok UAS. China responds to EU sanctions A spokesperson for China’s Commerce Ministry said Beijing introduced the measures after the European Union added 14 Chinese mainland and Hong Kong enterprises to its latest sanctions package against Russia. According to the ministry, the move aims to protect China’s national security and interests while fulfilling its international non-proliferation obligations.
