Balochistan Operations Security Forces Kill 15 Terrorists in Intelligence-Based Raids

Security forces killed 15 terrorists during intelligence-based operations across several districts of Balochistan, security sources said on Sunday.

The operations took place under Operation Rad-ul-Fitna 3, an ongoing military campaign against militant groups in the province.

According to security sources, troops conducted the raids in Mastung, Bolan, Washuk, Awaran, Sibi, Khuzdar, Harnai and Noshki.

The forces also recovered a large quantity of weapons and ammunition during the operations.

Security sources said the raids disrupted the militants’ network and restricted their movement across Balochistan. They added that security forces would continue operations until the threat of terrorism is eliminated.

Naqvi Praises Security Forces

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi praised the security forces for the operations.

He commended their professional capabilities and said the actions had foiled what he described as the “nefarious designs” of Fitna al-Hindustan and Fitna al-Khawarij.

Naqvi called security personnel fighting terrorism “the pride of the nation”. He also said the government would eliminate terrorism from Balochistan with public support.

The latest operations follow another military action on Thursday. Security forces killed 12 terrorists during intelligence-based operations in Washuk and Mastung, according to the military’s media wing.

Terrorism Remains a Major Challenge

Pakistan has faced a significant rise in militant violence in recent years.

Data from the Armed Conflict Location & Event Data (ACLED) project shows that reported attacks in Pakistan increased from 658 in 2022 to 2,425 in 2025. TTP attacks also rose from 118 to 838 during the same period.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has recorded the highest number of attacks. However, Balochistan also remains a major target for militant groups.

The security forces have continued operations across both provinces. Authorities say the campaign aims to prevent attacks on civilians and security installations.

Earlier this month, at least 30 people, including 27 police personnel, were killed in an attack in Ziarat district. Authorities blamed the assault on militants they identify as Fitna al-Hindustan.

Following the attack, the Pakistan Army, Frontier Corps and Balochistan Police launched a joint operation. Security forces have since intensified operations against militants across the province.
