Karachi Explosion: Gunfire and Blast Trigger Panic in Gulistan-e-Jauhar

Heavy gunfire and a powerful explosion were reported in Karachi’s Gulistan-e-Jauhar on Saturday, causing panic among residents.

According to initial reports, witnesses heard intense gunfire near Meteorological Chowrangi on University Road.

Residents also reported hearing a loud explosion shortly before the firing began.

Soon afterwards, police deployed a heavy contingent to the area and launched an initial response operation.

Authorities began gathering information to determine the nature and cause of the incident.

Meanwhile, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah took notice of the situation and contacted the Inspector General of Police Sindh and the Additional Inspector General Karachi.

According to the chief minister’s spokesperson, Murad Ali Shah requested a detailed report from the additional IGP Karachi.

He also instructed police officials to assess the situation immediately and reach the scene without delay.

In addition, the chief minister directed authorities to take all necessary measures and ensure public safety.

Officials have not yet released further details about casualties, damage or the circumstances surrounding the incident.
