Pakistan on Tuesday rejected what it described as a baseless statement from India’s Ministry of External Affairs regarding Pakistan’s actions against what it called terrorist infrastructure in Afghanistan. Hajj Registration Pakistan exceeds 150,000 applications through digital portal Foreign Office spokesperson Tahir Andrabi said Pakistan carried out legitimate, targeted and proportionate actions. In a statement, Andrabi criticised India’s position and accused New Delhi of interfering in neighbouring countries. He also claimed India undermined regional sovereignty and acted against the principles of the UN Charter. Furthermore, he said India continues to deny Kashmiris the right to self-determination and linked the issue to relevant UN resolutions. Andrabi also accused India of supporting groups operating from Afghan territory against Pakistan. He argued that such actions violate relevant UN Security Council sanctions frameworks. Moreover, he said Pakistan rejects India’s accusations and urged observers not to accept such claims without scrutiny. Meanwhile, Pakistan reaffirmed its commitment to protecting its citizens and national security. Andrabi said the country will continue taking appropriate measures under international law. He added that Pakistan will act whenever necessary to safeguard public safety and national interests. The statement came amid continuing regional tensions and competing narratives over security and cross-border concerns.
