During the cabinet meeting, Punjab Finance Minister Mujtaba Shuja-ur-Rehman briefed members on the main budget proposals and spending priorities.
Focus on Development Spending
According to the proposed budget, the government has allocated Rs752 billion for development projects across Punjab.
The allocation aims to support infrastructure, strengthen public services, and accelerate development initiatives.
In addition, officials expect the funding to contribute to economic activity and improve public facilities.
Salary and Pension Relief
The budget also proposes a 7 percent increase in salaries for provincial government employees.
Similarly, pensioners may receive a 7 percent increase in pension payments.

Senior government officials attended the meeting, including the Chief Secretary, the Chairman of the Planning and Development Board, and the Finance Secretary.
