Earlier IED Blast Injured Two Police Officers Earlier on Sunday, an improvised explosive device (IED) exploded near Pir Zakorhi Bridge, close to the Peshawar-Islamabad Motorway toll plaza. The blast injured the driver of a police van and a police constable. It also damaged the police vehicle. Rescue teams shifted both officers to a nearby hospital, where they received medical treatment. City police spokesperson Alam Khan confirmed the injuries. Meanwhile, a Bomb Disposal Unit (BDU) reached the site to inspect the area and collect evidence as part of the investigation.
