According to police officials, the attackers targeted the office of the peace committee head, Qari Jaleel. Rescue teams shifted the bodies and the injured victim to the District Headquarters Hospital. Authorities have launched an investigation into the incident.

The attack comes a day after security forces eliminated 23 terrorists allegedly sponsored by India during two separate intelligence-based engagements in the Kurram district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operations—part of an effort against “Fitna Al Khwarij”—were carried out on November 19. In the first targeted raid, troops engaged militants following intelligence about their presence and killed twelve after intense gunfire.
Acting on further intelligence about another terrorist group in the same vicinity, security forces launched a second operation and neutralized eleven more militants.
