The operation targeted illegal structures built on government land and along a main road. As a result, authorities restored public access and improved traffic flow in the area.
Eight Truckloads of Materials Seized
According to Assistant Commissioner Hazim Bhangwar, officials confiscated materials used in the encroachments and transported them in eight truckloads.
Additionally, authorities arrested six individuals for violating the law and attempting to obstruct the operation.
Officials said the action formed part of an ongoing campaign against illegal occupation of public spaces across the city.
Roads and Public Spaces Cleared
Speaking during the operation, Bhangwar said the encroachments had occupied a major road and public passage.
Consequently, residents faced difficulties while pedestrians and motorists experienced disruptions in daily movement.
Therefore, the administration moved swiftly to clear the area and restore access for the public.
Warning Against Illegal Occupation
Bhangwar reiterated that anti-encroachment operations would continue without discrimination.
Moreover, he warned that authorities would take strict legal action against individuals involved in illegal occupations of public land.
He also urged shopkeepers and traders to conduct business within their designated premises.
Furthermore, he advised them to avoid occupying roads, footpaths, and government property.
Campaign to Continue
The assistant commissioner emphasized that efforts to make Aram Bagh free from encroachments would continue.
He stated that public roads, walkways, and open spaces must remain accessible for the convenience and safety of citizens.
Meanwhile, the district administration reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining the crackdown on illegal encroachments.
As part of broader urban management efforts, officials aim to improve public access, reduce congestion, and ensure better use of public spaces across Karachi.
