Field Marshal Asim Munir Visits Quetta Garrison, Stresses Readiness for Future Warfare
RAWALPINDI: Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir visited Quetta Garrison on Tuesday, where he addressed officers, faculty members and troops, emphasizing the evolving nature of warfare and the need for continued operational preparedness.

During his visit to the Command and Staff College in Quetta, the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) and Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) praised the institution for maintaining high standards of training, intellectual discipline and professionalism. He noted that the college’s graduates have consistently demonstrated excellence and dedication in their professional duties.
Addressing student officers and faculty members, the Field Marshal highlighted the rapidly changing character of modern warfare and stressed the importance of adapting to emerging technologies, multi-domain operations, tri-services coordination and future battlefield challenges.
He advised officers to continuously strengthen their professional capabilities and ensure their troops remain prepared to effectively respond to changing security dynamics while maintaining the highest standards of operational excellence.
Later, Field Marshal Asim Munir met officers and troops deployed in Balochistan and discussed the prevailing security situation. He reaffirmed that Pakistan’s armed forces, with public support, remain committed to eliminating terrorism in all its forms.
He stated that attempts to undermine Pakistan through propaganda, misinformation and externally-backed terrorism would not succeed due to the resilience of the state and unity among the people.
The army chief also underlined the importance of sustainable peace and long-term stability in Balochistan, emphasizing that development, effective governance and public welfare initiatives are essential alongside security measures.
He appreciated the efforts of the provincial government in promoting socio-economic development and strengthening ties between the state and the people of Balochistan.
Earlier, upon his arrival in Quetta, the Field Marshal was received by the Commander Quetta Corps.
