Karachi Park Bunyan-ul-Marsoos was inaugurated at Main Nagan Chowrangi, offering residents a new recreational facility designed to improve the city’s environment and provide a family-friendly public space. Former federal minister Dr Asim Hussain formally opened the park during a ceremony attended by Commissioner Karachi, Deputy Commissioner Central Taha Saleem, North Nazimabad Town Chairman Atif Ali Khan, PPP leaders and other political, social and business figures. Special prayers were offered during the inauguration for Pakistan’s peace and prosperity, Sindh’s development and the welfare of its people. After the ceremony, the park opened its doors to the public. Dr Asim Hussain added that Bunyan-ul-Marsoos Park reflects the administration’s commitment to public service. He said well-maintained parks provide children, young people, women and senior citizens with safe locations for leisure and community activities. He also emphasized that such projects promote social interaction and strengthen community connections by creating accessible spaces for families. During the ceremony, guests visited different areas of the park and reviewed the facilities available for visitors. Local residents welcomed the initiative and praised the development as a positive addition to the neighbourhood. Residents also expressed hope that more parks and public welfare projects would be launched across Karachi to create a greener and more livable city.
