RAWALPINDI: The funeral prayer of Khalid Hussain, who embraced martyrdom during an intelligence-based operation in Balochistan, was offered at Chaklala Garrison with full military honours.

The officer, a resident of Sargodha, was martyred after sustaining injuries while leading his troops in an operation against Indian-sponsored militants, according to official statements.
The funeral was attended by Shehbaz Sharif, Asim Munir, along with federal ministers, senior civil and military officials, family members, and a large number of citizens.
Paying tribute, the prime minister lauded the officer’s courage, professionalism, and unwavering commitment to national defence. He reaffirmed that Pakistan’s armed forces, backed by the nation, remain resolute in eliminating terrorism and its facilitators.
He added that the sacrifices of martyrs reinforce national unity and reflect Pakistan’s determination to safeguard its peace, stability, and sovereignty.
The martyr will be laid to rest in his hometown with full military honours. The armed forces and the public expressed profound grief and solidarity with the bereaved family.
