Administrator Tariq Tanoli said the market has completed 32 days of operations, with a steady influx of animals from across the country pushing several premium blocks — including Karachi, Sibi, Sapphire, Kashmir, KPK, Golden and Pahari — to full capacity.
Amid the growing Eid rush, a large number of middle-income buyers have been flocking to the General Block in search of affordable sacrificial animals. The mandi has also turned into a focal point for digital content creators, with YouTubers and social media influencers documenting the vibrant marketplace activity.
To support traders, the administration has announced free electricity and water supply in the General Block, alongside uninterrupted water provision across the entire facility. Heavy-duty generators have also been installed to ensure continuous power supply and proper lighting during nighttime operations.
The “Pakistan Chowk” area has emerged as a key attraction within the market, while the food street continues to draw large crowds late into the night. Parking contractor Adnan Atiq said visitors are being facilitated at entry points, with streamlined access and services.
Authorities further assured that comprehensive security arrangements remain in place across all entry routes and within the market to maintain a safe environment for traders and visitors.
