Security forces killed six militants during an intelligence-based operation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, according to a statement issued by the military’s media wing.

The operation took place during the night of June 3-4 after security agencies received reports about the presence of militants in the area.
Acting on intelligence, security forces launched a targeted operation and engaged multiple militant hideouts. As a result, an intense exchange of fire took place, leading to the deaths of six militants.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), troops recovered a cache of weapons, ammunition, improvised explosive devices (IEDs), and a vehicle from the slain militants.
The statement said the militants were allegedly involved in several terrorist activities in the region.
Clearance Operation Continues
Meanwhile, security forces have launched a follow-up clearance operation in the area.
The purpose of the operation is to ensure that no other militants remain hidden in nearby locations.
Officials said troops will continue search activities until the area is fully secured.
Azm-e-Istehkam Campaign Ongoing
The military reiterated its commitment to continuing counterterrorism efforts across the country.
According to the ISPR, security forces and law enforcement agencies will continue operations under the Azm-e-Istehkam campaign.
The campaign aims to eliminate militancy and foreign-sponsored terrorism while strengthening national security.

Earlier, security forces killed four militants during two separate intelligence-based operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
