QUETTA: The family and close relatives of Shahnaz Baloch, an alleged commander of the banned militant group Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA), have publicly distanced themselves from her activities, stating that they have had no contact with her for nearly 12 years.

Speaking at a press conference in Turbat, family members, including her mother, grandfather, and maternal uncle, said Shahnaz Baloch moved to Oman at a young age and has remained out of contact with the family ever since.
Her mother, Rukhsana, said Shahnaz’s father died when she was just nine months old. She added that the family had no knowledge of any alleged involvement in extremist activities or links with banned organizations.
The relatives stressed that they have no association with Shahnaz Baloch’s actions, statements, or activities. They described themselves as law-abiding Pakistani citizens who respect the country’s laws and state institutions.
The family reiterated its loyalty to Pakistan and rejected any attempts to connect them with the alleged activities of the militant commander.
