Chasing a competitive target of 187, Islamabad United fell just short despite a late surge. Needing six runs in the final over, Kingsmen pacer Hunain Shah held his nerve, conceding only four runs and picking up a crucial wicket to seal victory.
Earlier, Kingsmen posted 186-5, powered by an unbeaten 61 off 30 balls from Usman Khan, supported by valuable contributions from Kusal Perera (37) and Marnus Labuschagne (39).
Islamabad’s chase saw resistance from Mark Chapman, who scored 43, and Haider Ali, who added 31, but their efforts were not enough in the end.
