KARACHI: Pakistan Rangers (Sindh) have arrested a suspect during an intelligence-based operation in the Safora Chowrangi and Decent Garden areas of Karachi over alleged involvement in illegal arms activities.

According to a Rangers spokesperson, the arrested individual has been identified as Zohaib, son of Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar Jutt. The operation led to the recovery of a significant cache of unlicensed weapons and related materials.
The recovered arms include five M4 rifles, one 30-bore pistol, one 12-bore repeater, one .222 bore rifle, and one air gun. Authorities also seized additional items including two mobile phones, a gold chain, and cash.
Officials further recovered a large quantity of dismantled and non-functional weapons and equipment, including multiple 30-bore and 12-bore firearms, weapon parts, ammunition, magazines, forged licenses, stamps of a private security company, and fake authorization documents. The seized material also included weapon punching tools and documents suspected to be used for illegal arms trade.
Rangers stated that initial findings suggest the weapons may have been intended for use in criminal or terrorist activities. Efforts are underway to identify and apprehend other members of the network.
The arrested suspect and recovered material have been handed over to police for further legal proceedings.
