According to market administrator Tariq Tanoli, sacrificial animals from various districts across Pakistan continue to arrive daily at the market, with large trailers bringing a wide range of bulls, calves, goats, and camels.
With only two weeks remaining until Eid al-Adha, the cattle market has become increasingly crowded as citizens gather to purchase animals and fulfill the Sunnah of Prophet Ibrahim (A.S).
Several buyers expressed satisfaction with current prices, noting that rates at the Northern Bypass market remain comparatively affordable compared to neighborhood street markets across Karachi.
Livestock traders, who had initially reported slow business at the start of the season, are now optimistic as sales momentum builds. Many expect their stock to be sold out before Eid.
The administration has also strengthened security arrangements and upgraded facilities to accommodate the growing number of visitors and ensure a smooth buying experience. Pickup trucks and loaders carrying purchased animals were seen leaving the market throughout the day.
“The smiles on the faces of traders reflect the growing market momentum,” Tariq Tanoli said, adding that management remains committed to maintaining a secure and organized environment for all visitors.
The Northern Bypass cattle market remains one of Karachi’s largest seasonal livestock hubs, attracting thousands of buyers every year ahead of Eid celebrations.
